About Tommy
Meet Tommy, sometimes known as Pickle Man. He and his littermates have survived an incredibly rough beginning—losing their mother, living as feral pups, then landing at the shelter afraid and unsure of people. With consistent care and patience, Tommy is blossoming. He’s motivated by food (a training advantage) and has slowly learned to approach people for affection and take snacks from gentle hands. There’s still a bit of apprehension, especially with some of his siblings, but Tommy genuinely craves connection and trust. Regular interaction has brought out his playful, sweet side, and he now enjoys gentle play and seeks comfort from humans. What he needs most is a little time and someone willing to prove the world isn’t so scary. For Tommy, love and patience will go a long way. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Tommy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Tommy, being a mixed breed dog of medium size, would do best in a home where he gets plenty of attention and consistent routines. He’s adaptable, but a calm household with patient people will help him thrive.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Tommy’s medium build means he’ll appreciate a yard or regular walks. He needs space for play but doesn’t require a massive property—active daily exercise will suit him well.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Mixed breed dogs like Tommy can do well with kids, given proper introductions and supervision. Because of his early trauma, a quieter home or older children who can respect his boundaries would suit him best.
