About Kabocha
Kabocha is a 15-month-old male Domestic Shorthair who has been through more than most cats ever will. He came in as an emergency on Thanksgiving Eve, facing one daunting medical battle after anotherāa liver shunt, a risky surgery, then a dangerous urinary blockage that required emergency PU surgery. Each time, Kabocha faced the odds with determination and pulled through, showing a spirit as bold as his copper eyes. Today, all of Kabochaās bloodwork is looking fantastic. Heās off all medication, acts like any happy cat, and might need prescription food in the future, but for now, heās full of life and mischief. Thereās still a spicy edge to his personality, no doubt forged through his fights for survival, but above all, heās friendly, loving, and welcomes people with open paws. He gets along well with dogs and cats, given a calm introduction, and is also great with children. Kabocha is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV, FeLV, and heartworm. Heās looking for a forever family who can appreciate both his fighterās drive and his snuggly side.
