Meet Leo, a strikingly handsome young Lab mix who is as charming on the inside as he is on the outside. Leo and his puppy pal Michael entered the Lee County shelter in Sanford as strays, but they’ve emerged as two loving boys who deserve a true second chance at life. At just two years old and 60 pounds, Leo has the perfect mix of maturity and youthful energy. With a personality as warm as his golden coat, he’s ready to become a cherished member of a family who loves dogs. Leo tested well with other dogs, rides quietly in the car, and has lovely leash manners. He’s also eager to learn his commands and please his people. It’s hard to resist those soft brown eyes—once uncertain, now shining with hope. Leo seems truly grateful for his second chance and is ready to return the gift tenfold as a loyal companion. We do recommend a fenced yard for Leo so that he can live his best life with the freedom to frolic as labs love to do!
