Ruthie is the perfect mix of active and cuddly. She loves going for long walks and outdoor adventures, then crashing on the couch when she gets home. Belly rubs and snuggle time with her humans are some of her favorite things, and she'll happily give you plenty of kisses to show how much she loves you. She's 100% house trained (she even learned to use the doggy door in an hour!) and has wonderful manners. Ruthie enjoys being near her people-whether that's snoozing at your feet, curled up beside you, or lounging on her bed nearby. She is looking for a home with no other animals so she can be the star of the show. Ruthie has also joined her foster family on hiking and climbing trips and did great-she's active, adaptable, and content to hang out while the adventure unfolds. She's also sweet and friendly with people, including kids. Overall, Ruthie is an affectionate, loyal companion who would love a family that enjoys both playtime and plenty of cozy snuggles. Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more. Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. From the Dog Kennels/Dog Isolation/Dog Quarantine (in shelter): To meet this dog, please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 – 5 pm on one of our open days, no appointment needed. We are open on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We are closed for adoptions on Monday and all holidays.
