Meet Chips Ahoy. Found clinging to the shore of Lake Washington with a bullet in his jaw, you'd never know that he's had a bad day in his life. He's a handsome fella with all the smarts to match! He knows "sit", "shake", and "down", "wait" and will gladly offer up all the tricks for the tastiest snacks. He enjoys singing you the song of his people in hopes you'll give him all the love and attention. (He's also the current favorite of everyone in the shelter. Who doesn't love an underdog?! If he's not downstairs in our main kennels when you arrive, check in with staff. He's probably keeping someone company in an office! We love this guy.) The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more. Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information. ** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. From the Dog Kennels/Dog Isolation/Dog Quarantine (in shelter): To meet this dog, please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 – 5 pm on one of our open days, no appointment needed. We are open on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We are closed for adoptions on Monday and all holidays. From Foster Care (out of shelter): Put the name of the dog(s) in the Subject Line of a new email. In the email include your name, phone number and address.
