About Donnelly
Meet Donnelly. Donnelly and his litter started life as strays in Alvarado, so he didn't get to know people until he was about three months old. Trust doesn't come fast for him. At one year old, he's now starting to figure out that people can be gentle. Heās cautious when people first approachāsometimes heāll growl, but he never crosses the line into aggression. When left to make the first move, Donnelly warms up quickly, comes over for a sniff, and decides youāre in his circle. Once he chooses you, he follows you everywhere. Other dogs bring out his confidence, and group play helps him relax. Heās playful with toys, enjoys getting cozy under blankets, and knows how to sit and take treats gently. Leash walking still feels strange to him, but he prefers to stick close, sometimes right at your heels. Donnelly is quiet at night and happy to snuggle up if thatās your thing. Heāll do best with a patient adopter familiar with building trust in sensitive dogs. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
