About Laila
Meet Laila. She was found in Todos Santos, Mexico in early 2025 and is now just over a year old, born in August 2024—making her a Leo, if you follow sun signs. Laila weighs about 30 pounds and, like most Baja mixes, she should stay on the small side of medium. When she was first rescued, she lived at a foster home and got along with other pets and kids. At the shelter, she plays with all the dogs and grabs a sunbeam whenever she can. She was only about 5 months old, alone on a beach, when found, but that never dampened her warm and happy outlook. Laila loves everyone she meets and is eager to fit into any home in the Pacific Northwest. She’ll need to brush up on potty training, but she brings a lot of affection and a friendly spirit wherever she goes. She’s ready for a foster or forever home—once chosen, she can travel to the PNW in just about two weeks. Laila is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and tested for common diseases. She’s currently in La Paz, Mexico, waiting for a caring home to bring her north, either as a foster or adoptee. Saving Baja Paws offers a foster-to-adopt option if you want to make sure she's the right fit before making it official. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
