About Tucker
Tucker stands out in a crowd—he’s sharp as a Malinois and brings a certain feline swagger to the room. Catch him in a good mood, and you’ll see his signature move: flinging himself against anything handy, rubbing his whole body for the pure joy of it. Tucker’s happiest sprawled on his bed, soaking up head scratches or working on new tricks; training time is his happy place. He’s mastered basic obedience, is crate and potty trained, and has even given agility a try. While Tucker doesn’t react to people or animals, he’s not about cuddles and deep snuggles. He likes his own space and can take a while to warm up, especially to new faces or other pets. But once out on a walk, he’s focused and steady—perfect for folks who want a running or hiking companion that doesn’t pull focus. Tucker has put in solid time with a trainer to work through being wary around strangers and resource guarding. He does best as a solo dog in a calm, adult-only home without kids or other pets, though he’s had some dog friends in the past. Tucker needs an active, experienced adopter willing to put energy and attention into both his fitness and his mind. If you want a clever, independent dog with a big character and an itch for adventure, Tucker could be the match you’ve been looking for. Make his next chapter his best one yet.
