About Wassail
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Wassail is a stunning all-black cat with mesmerizing gold eyes and a plush, short coat. While she may start off a bit reserved, it doesn’t take long for Wassail to warm up to gentle affection, rewarding your patience with her soft purrs and sweet demeanor. Rescued with her three siblings and their mother from living outdoors, Wassail has blossomed in a foster home filled with love and care. She now resides in one of the more spacious rooms with her sibling Yuletide, and though it’s not a requirement, it would be wonderful for these two to find a home together to preserve their close bond. Wassail enjoys being petted—especially “booty” scratches—and becomes more affectionate as she gets comfortable. She has a curious and observant nature, joining in on play when she sees her fellow cats having fun, but prefers patient, gentle attention from people. With time, she'll become a loving companion who brings gentle joy throughout the year. Wassail is ready to find a forever home where her sweetness and grace will shine. As a Taurus, she’s likely to be loyal, affectionate, and to appreciate all of life’s cozy comforts! Potential adopters must be interviewed at the shelter and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. A second visit is required to ensure the perfect match. Adoptions are in-person only—no shipping is available. Let Wassail’s next purr-filled chapter begin with you. Adoption includes a carrier, scratching pad, starter supplies, and ongoing advice. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
