About Clifford
Clifford is a massive, striking black dog who moves through the world with outsized charm and a playful presence. He is happiest when engaging with the humans around him—and doesn't seem to realize his own size when he tries to curl up in your lap. Clifford is well-mannered for a dog of his stature, and knows his basic commands. He has a playful streak and enjoys chasing a ball, tug of war, and even a round of hide and seek. Clifford is protective of his people and takes his role in the family seriously, which is typical of his mastiff heritage. He has met another dog—a smaller female pit bull—and they did just fine together with a slow introduction. He mostly co-exists with other dogs rather than engaging in intense play. Clifford is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, up to date on prevention and vaccines. Because of his breed mix and sheer size, Clifford will need an adopter experienced with giant breeds. He is currently in a foster home in Shreveport, LA, but out-of-state adoptions are possible.
