About Lacey
Lacy – Grace, Strength, and a Whole Lot of Sweet Lacy, a beautiful hound mix, is one of those dogs who makes an impression the moment you meet her. She is incredibly gentle, loves to lean in for affection, and has a soft, calm presence that immediately draws people to her. We are still learning more about Lacy, but so far she has been nothing but sweet and easy to handle. She’s friendly, well-mannered, and seems comfortable around other dogs. She hasn’t been tested with kids or cats yet, though her gentle personality gives us every reason to believe she’ll adapt well. Lacy came to us from a difficult situation, and despite what she has been through, she has remained patient, trusting, and gentle. Thanks to quick intervention, she and her puppies were safely brought into rescue. She has since received the care she needed, she’s now healthy, vaccinated, spayed, and finally able to experience comfort and consistency. What makes Lacy so special is how she has chosen to move forward. She greets people with quiet kindness, enjoys being close, and accepts affection with gratitude and softness. She is the kind of dog who blossoms with kindness and will bond deeply with the person/people who give her a stable, loving home. If you’re looking for a truly sweet, gentle companion who will be grateful for every moment of care, Lacy may be the perfect match. She is ready for a forever home where she can feel safe, appreciated, and loved. Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! *** • All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots. • We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting. • You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF. • Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences. • We do request vet and personal references. • We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
