About Roxie
Roxie has spent nearly a year waiting for her forever family, and she’s ready for someone who sees the heart behind those bright eyes. Roxie shares toys easily, thrives on backyard games, and lights up around a large male canine companion. If you’re an active person or have space for her to play, she’d love hiking, running, or simply racing around your yard. True to her Catahoula leopard dog mix roots, Roxie has plenty of energy and a real puppy streak, needing someone who gets her playful side. Adult households are ideal for Roxie, though she can do well with older children or teens who respect her shy nature—little ones have startled her before. Roxie’s favorite things? Snuggling in her crate, solving puzzle toys, taking walks, rolling in grass, and chewing on a sturdy bone. She also loves belly rubs and giving hugs. Roxie does have a solitary kidney, so she’s on a prescription diet, but her recent bloodwork is solid and her prognosis is good. With care and understanding, she’ll be a rewarding sidekick for years to come. Ready to make Roxie part of your life? Applications can be made through Salfid Rescue Inc. Ready to fall in love?
