About Seamus

Seamus (pronounced Shay-mus) is a black domestic shorthair who came from a place where there were too many cats, so trusting people is still new to him. These days, Seamus is getting the hang of gentle affection, often seeking out soft pets and a bit of reassurance. He’s shy initially, but he’s shown real progress with patient humans—underneath, he’s the kind of cat who’ll deepen his bond over time and become a true companion. He’s currently in foster care near Chicago’s southwest suburbs and can be met by appointment after your adoption application is approved. The rescue does not hold cats, so only apply if you’re ready to bring a new friend home within three days of applying. His adoption fee covers neutering, microchip, all core vaccines, testing, and preventatives, so you know he’s had the basics covered. Click apply to start the adoption process.
