About Izzy
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Izzy is a spirited 7-8 month old spayed female, believed to be a hound and labrador retriever mix with a gorgeous red and chestnut orange short coat. This resilient tripod pup entered rescue last August after being discovered as a stray in Tennessee, needing urgent care for a shattered pelvis and multiple fractures. After a successful surgery and healing journey, Izzy is now fully recovered and ready for her next adventure. She is incredibly loving, always eager to greet new friends with tail wags and kisses, and approaches life with both heart and chill. Izzy does well with both dogs and cats, making her a wonderful companion in a multi-pet household. She’s crate trained, progressing nicely with her potty training, and does great on a leash—no fenced yard required. Izzy is proof that every animal’s next chapter can be brighter than their past! Long distance adoptions may be considered within the US, with travel arranged at the adopter’s expense. Ready to help her leave the past behind and start a new life with you?
