About Hercules

Hercules is the kind of dog who wins people over just by being in the room. At about 5-7 years old, he’s got a good bit of pep in his step and is still athletic, but mostly he just wants to be by your side (he’ll quickly claim you as one of his own). He’s lived with children and has done well with all the dogs in his foster mom’s building, making him a solid fit for families and multi-dog homes. No info on cats yet. At a slim 50 lbs, he’s low-shedding with a soft, short black and cream coat that’s easy to care for. He’s working hard on his leash manners and is getting used to being alone, but honestly, Hercules would love a home with another dog so he’s not left by himself too often. He thrives on nature hikes, lounging on couches, and snacks—pumpkin, chicken, cheese, raw veggies, and especially peanut butter. Training-wise, he’s coming along fast; he already knows "paw," "leave it," "off," and can wait at doors. Hercules came to the rescue because his owner faced medical issues, and now he’s waiting for a new family to give all his love (and offer up his famously cute belly for rubs). Ready to fall in love?
