Holly And Clara
AvailableHolly and Clara are adult female Chihuahuas with short coats in black and fawn, currently located in Matthews, NC. They each have a sweet temperament and are on the smaller side, typical of their breed. Neither is house trained yet, and both crave the security of an indoor, loving environment where they can thrive.
About Holly And Clara
Holly and Clara spent too much of their lives outdoors with too many other dogs and not nearly enough care. These two Chihuahuas came from a tough situation and both are currently heartworm positive, undergoing the slow-kill treatment with monthly Heartguard. This process takes time, but they’re on the right path. Personality-wise, Clara loves to be held and fussed over. She enjoys a good meal and is up for playtime whenever you are. Holly is sweet too, but much more timid—she prefers slow introductions and being approached on her own terms. She’s uneasy with people, but once you earn her trust, she’ll relax into your arms and soak up the affection. Holly is at her boldest when she’s with Clara and clearly finds comfort in her company. Both have had a few accidents in the house, but they figure things out when brought outside. They need an inside home where they really get to be dogs—safe, fed, watered, and with lots of love and soft places to rest. These two deserve to know what family feels like. If you think you could offer that stability, Holly and Clara might just be the pair you’ve been missing. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
