About Rocket

Rocket came into his family as a puppy in early 2016, when the kids were still young and the house was missing the energy only a dog brings. He grew up as part of the family mix—wrestling with kids in the yard, chasing balls, and always finding a way to be involved in any activity, from hide-and-seek to fort building. He’s done his share of puppy daycare, where his Parson Russell Terrier instincts took over and he tried to run the place, sometimes literally patrolling the fence line. The family jokes he’s always aiming for the top job. Over the years, Rocket has developed some environmental allergies which require a seasonal shot twice a year. Keeping up with nail trims is important for him as well so he can keep moving without splitting or hurting his toes. But otherwise, he’s a sturdy, engaged little dog who likes a routine. Nights find Rocket settled in his own crate in a gated dining room—no sneaking into beds, but an occasional nap on the couch does happen. He's always slept through the night, though mornings can see him a bit groggy; give him a minute to wake up before expecting his usual bounce. Click apply to start the adoption process.
