About Cherry

Cherry, or Cherrybelle as she's sometimes called, is about 2–3 years old and weighs 55lbs. She’s a pittie mix who’s had a rough start but is more than ready for her do-over. She’s bounced back from heartworm and cherry eye surgery, and is now strong with a healthy, shiny black coat and plenty of energy. Cherry is housebroken and crate trained—though she doesn’t love the crate, she settles well for meals, bedtime, and when her people are away. Living with lots of dog friends has taught her better manners, though she can be a little territorial at times. She gets along with other dogs and children, and she’s discovered the joys of running in the yard, rolling in mud, and couch cuddles. Toys are new for her, and she’s quickly picked up how to play and have a good time (even if mess is involved). Cherry is affectionate with her people and ready for a home that can offer both playtime and some good ear scratches. If you’ve ever wished for a true reset, Cherry gets it—she’s the expert in second chances. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
