About Dumpling
Howdy y'all! My name is Dumpling. I am a 12 year-old, 87 pound, Anatolian Shepherd mix senior lady. I came to Rescue One with a cantaloupe-sized hernia hanging down from my abdomen, which was REALLY uncomfortable, as you can imagine (see last pic). The awesome Rescue One folks got me all fixed up, and now I am ready to find my forever home. I am such a good girl! I am house trained and crate trained (though I don't really need to be crated). I don't love my leash, so a fenced yard would be best for me. I get along great with other dogs and children (though I may accidentally knock down very small children). I haven't met any cats yet, but can be cat tested if needed. Even though I'm a little older, I am still energetic and playful. I like to play with my foster mom's dogs and then snuggle up on the couch. I'm pretty low-maintenance although I do take hip/joint treats. I hope we can meet soon and see if I would be a good fit for your family. Update: I am headed to the Rescue One Pups for Parole training program where I will learn all the basic obedience to become a great companion. You can go ahead and fill out an application for me and when I graduate I will be ready for my new home! My adoption fee is Sponsored and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out* Don't forget to LIKE us on Facebook!-www.facebook.com/rescueonespringfield *Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home.
