Our veterinary partner estimates that Piper is 7 months old at the time of intake in July 2024, so she would be about 20 months old as of August 2025 . Piper is good with people, kids and other dogs but is not a good fit for cats (she gets a little too excited!). Piper was found with her puppies out on the streets of Texas. Her foster mom reports Piper would be great for someone that has a fenced yard and loves to go hiking or long walks. She has energy but she's a mush who loves to cuddle on the couch, too. She does great in the car and is a good sport for nail trimmings. She's equally happy sleeping in her crate as she is a bed. She will happily defend your home against her motal enemy: the squirrel. At about 35 lbs she's a great size for either someone in the city or the suburbs.
