About Piper
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Piper, a loving and energetic American Pit Bull Terrier mix rescued in Texas, now searching for her forever family through Rescue Dogs Rock NYC. At approximately 20 months old as of August 2025, Piper is the perfect balance of playfulness and affection, thriving on hikes, long walks, or simply cozying up for cuddles on the couch. Sheβs great in the car, is cooperative during nail trims, and transitions easily between sleeping in her crate or in a comfy bed. While Piper gets along wonderfully with people, kids, and other dogs, sheβs not well-suited for homes with cats, as her curiosity and excitement can be overwhelming for feline friends. Piper would be happiest with someone who has a fenced yard and enjoys an active lifestyle, though her medium size (about 35 lbs) makes her just as comfortable in an urban home as in the suburbs. Adopt Piper and give this devoted, squirrel-defending pup the loving future she deserves. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
