Very nice to meet you, I'm Janeane! I'll be 1 year old at the end of this year, and currently weigh about 40 lbs. Humans weren't always nice to me, so when I first meet strangers, I bark and growl at them to let them know that I'm nervous. But I have two things I really love - treats and other dogs! So, if you're patient and have those two magic items, I'll work through my anxiety and show you my silly, sweet, cuddly side that makes everyone fall in love. I sleep like an angel in my crate overnight, I haven't had an accident in the house yet, and I know not to pull on the leash when we walk. I'm fine sharing my toys and food with humans and other dogs, aren't touchy about my tail/paws/ears/etc (after I'm comfortable with you) and crave affection so you better be okay with giving scratchies! I haven't met any cats yet. Younger kids can make me nervous, they move fast and that's scary and I growl to have them calm down, but I've been great with teens. I've lived with big and small dogs, and I do *NEED* another dog to show me the ropes and help me understand that I'm okay.
