About Beau
Start your journey together! Apply now. Beau is a striking, large Pit Bull Terrier mix who has a gentle soul and a huge heart. At around 2 years old, he’s a big, loving couch potato who adores cuddling and is completely housebroken—no worries when it comes to keeping your home intact, as his only mischief involves de-squeaking his toys. While Beau is great with people and loves children, his playful strength means he’s best suited for families with teens or older. Beau is looking for a home where he can be the focus of attention. He does best as the only pet or with a single, submissive female dog, as he is reactive around other dogs and cannot live with cats. A fenced-in yard would be ideal to help him enjoy the outdoors safely since walks can be challenging due to his excitement around other dogs. Despite a difficult past—he bravely survived an injury after being shot—Beau is in excellent health and feels no pain or limitations. He truly seeks a family that can shower him with love and offer a quiet, stable environment. Transport support is available for distant adopters, ensuring Beau can find his perfect match no matter where you are. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Beau

Pit Bull Terriers are adaptable but generally do best in homes where they can be part of the family. They enjoy environments that offer structure and affection, whether that’s a house with a yard or an apartment with daily exercise.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Pit Bull Terriers benefit from having access to a secure yard to play and burn off energy, but they can also thrive in apartments or homes without yards, provided they receive regular walks and playtime.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Pit Bull Terriers are known for being loyal and loving with children when properly socialized. However, their strength means they may be better suited for families with older children who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs.
