About Myrtle
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Myrtle is a sweet senior terrier mix rescued in Texas, who’s now looking for a comfortable forever home after a difficult chapter in her life. When she first lost her longtime family, she was understandably scared and uncertain, but thanks to loving foster care, she’s blossomed into a gentle companion who enjoys cuddles, head rubs, and spending quality time with people she trusts. Myrtle gets along well with most other dogs, though she finds fast, hyper canine friends a bit overwhelming and does better with calm introductions. Once she feels secure, her affectionate, snuggly nature shines—she loves sleeping by the fireplace, curling up in bed, and strolling in the park. Myrtle is thriving in her foster home, delighting in simple pleasures and seeking a person or family willing to continue spoiling her as the princess she is. She’s spayed and fully up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Transport support can be arranged for adopters who may be farther away, ensuring she reaches the loving home she truly deserves. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Myrtle
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Terriers are generally adaptable, but they do well in homes where they receive plenty of companionship and mental stimulation. They are suited for both apartments and houses as long as their needs for activity are met.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Terriers benefit from regular outdoor time, such as daily walks or play in a secure yard, but they do not require a large yard. Mental engagement and exercise are more important than sheer space.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Most terriers can be great with respectful children, especially if they are properly socialized from a young age. As with all breeds, interactions with young children should be supervised.
