About Hannah
Start your journey together! Apply now. Brains, beauty, and loyalty come together in one remarkable package with Hannah! This compact 9-year-old survivor first came to the rescue as a puppy after being hit by a car and left for dead, suffering a fractured leg and pelvis. Thanks to surgery and rehabilitation, she made a full recovery and blossomed into an active, healthy girl. Unfortunately, changes in her previous adopter's living situation brought her back to the shelter after years in a loving home, and she's not happy to be here again. Hannah may seem nervous and untrusting when meeting new people, but with patient introductions and a few tasty treats, her sweet and affectionate nature shines through. She is highly attuned to the emotions of her people and, once she lets you into her trusted circle, her loyalty is unmatched. Hannah has not been socialized with other dogs and tends to react when she sees them on leash, so she is best suited as the only pet in a calm, low-traffic home. She knows her commands, is fully house trained, and displays wonderful manners in the house. Weighing around 50 pounds and possibly a border collie or cattle dog mixed with pittie, Hannah is the perfect blend of intelligence, energy, and playfulness. Because she hasn't been around children and they would likely frighten her, an adults-only home is required. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
These energetic breeds benefit from access to a secure outdoor space, such as a fenced yard. Regular walks and playtime in safe environments are also important to keep them happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Staffordshire Bull Terriers are known for their affection with family, but mixes with herding breeds like Border Collies may do better in adult-only homes if they are timid or nervous around children. Early socialization is key.
