About Keiko
Keiko is a sweet and charming boy, likely a mix of Border Collie and Australian Kelpie. At just about a year old and weighing around 35 pounds, he presents a delightful combination of looks depending on whether his ears are up or down. His lovely wavy black coat, complemented by white accents on his tail and socks, adds to his appeal. Though Keiko can be a bit shy at first, he quickly warms up to new people. He thrives on gentle introductions, and the promise of treats helps him feel at ease. He loves playing with other dogs, enjoying belly rubs, and soaking up affectionate moments with his foster mom. His energy level is low to medium; after some playtime, he settles comfortably for quiet moments on the couch or in his doggie bed. Keiko enjoys neighborhood walks and car rides, making him quite the companion for any outing. We believe he would flourish with an older dog sibling to help boost his confidence. Given his calm demeanor, kids aged 8 and up would be the best fit for him. Keiko is healthy, neutered, fully vaccinated, house-trained, and crate-trained. He's ready to find his forever family.
