Carrie
AvailableCarrie is a large black female Domestic Short Hair cat, about 4 years and 9 months old, currently in Middle Village, NY. She is spayed and vaccinated, and she has some special needs that will require an experienced adopter who can provide patience and stability.
About Carrie
Carrie is a striking, large black cat who’s come a long way from her tough start wandering the streets. After several months adjusting in a home with consistent routine, affection, and reassurance, her anxiety is more manageable. She’s learning to trust people and is showing an affectionate side—tossing herself on the floor when you arrive or greeting you with licks and gentle rubs. Despite her size, Carrie prefers shadowing her humans to cuddling right up. She likes to be near you, whether you’re working, watching TV, or scrolling on your phone. Her favorite nap spot is often your laptop, and she’ll happily doze while keeping an eye out a bright window. Carrie is also obsessed with cardboard boxes and bags, and she can usually be found burrowed in one when not playing her nightly “hunt” ritual—bringing you fluffy toys as her version of prey. She is prone to overstimulation and benefits from an adopter who’s experienced reading feline body language and with no other pets or young children in the home. She needs a calm, stable environment with someone around most of the day; being left alone for too long makes her anxious and stressed. Carrie’s looking for a patient, understanding family who will appreciate her quirks and give her the steady love she craves. Leos like her are known for their bold and charismatic personalities, and Carrie definitely lives up to her sign. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
