Now, Desi is safe and adapting, ready for an adopter with patience, structure, and experience. Desi is about five years old and around 65 lbs, with a short white and cream coat and a love for anything outdoors—mud and puddles are her favorite. She’s house, crate, and leash trained, and she’s whip-smart and obsessed with toys, especially if they’re tough – she’s not gentle with soft chews. Desi’s personality shines once she trusts you: silly and energetic, loyal, eager to please, with a streak of quirkiness that makes her special. She gets along with other dogs, given proper introductions, and would do best in a home with adults or older, respectful kids. She needs an active lifestyle and someone dedicated to continuing her socialization—new people make her nervous at first, and she will guard her toys.
