About Sweet Potato

Sweet Potato is a tabico cat with a personality that lands somewhere between independent observer and devoted shadow. She tends to keep a comfortable distance, often choosing to be near you in the same room while still giving herself plenty of space. She’s a watcher by nature, preferring to keep an eye on things from afar, sometimes leaving you to guess if she’s ready for love or just content in your company. She was found in West Philadelphia with a rash that, after some investigating, was traced to multiple allergies—including dust mites, fleas, and even eucalyptus. Her sensitivities mean she does best with a little extra attention to her environment. While she’s doing better now, occasional flare-ups are still possible. Sweet Potato is quiet, rarely vocalizing, and she’s much more likely to use body language and long stares to make her needs known. She doesn’t go for high places or make a mess—counters are safe. Despite all that independence, she loves chasing her wand toy and sometimes joins in a burst of playfulness. She’s not a big cuddler and values consent when it comes to physical affection, so a home without young children is her best match. Sweet Potato is about 3 years old, spayed, current on vaccinations, FeLV and FIV negative, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms, and is fully litter box trained.
