About Leonardo
Your new best friend is just one click away. Meet Leonardo, a charming and athletic mystery mix, possibly Boxer and Pittie, who brings the city’s big heart with him wherever he goes. At around 2 years old and weighing about 54 lbs, Leonardo is a true New York success story—rescued from the streets and now thriving in a loving foster home through Pound Hounds Res-Q. Leonardo’s infectious joy makes him the life of the party—he’s been a greeter for shy shelter pups and now delights everyone he meets, from kids (preferably older, since he jumps when excited) to strangers and fellow dogs. His foster family calls him their “little jumping bean” thanks to his boundless bounce and charm. Leonardo is crate trained, house trained, and has a beautiful short, sleek coat that barely sheds, making him extra snuggle-worthy. Smart and eager to please, Leonardo responds well to redirection and is quiet and respectful during work-from-home meetings. An ideal fit for an active family or individual, he’ll thrive with patient, positive guidance and lots of playtime. Whether you’re up for city walks, hikes, or cozy nights in, Leonardo is ready to be your loyal companion and foot-warmer. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
