AvailableLady is an adult spayed female American Staffordshire Terrier/mixed breed in New York, NY. She’s medium-sized with a short coat in white and red-orange. She is house trained, crate trained, and up to date on vaccinations. Lady does best as the only pet in the home and truly loves being around people. She’s looking for a devoted adopter who understands her need for attention and stability.
About Lady
Lady lost her home suddenly in New York and landed at the city shelter after her previous family surrendered her. Once listed for euthanasia, a determined rescuer gave her a second chance. Lady is around five years old, medium-sized, and carries herself like she knows she’s worth a little extra fuss. She’s got a short, soft coat in cream and red-orange tones and just wants to be the center of your world. She thrives on attention and uses her pronounced underbite for some funny, affectionate nudges—her own brand of a request for more pets. Lady only wants to be the only animal in the house. She doesn’t get along with other dogs or cats, so she’ll need to be the sole pet. She’s terrific with adults and older children who are respectful—think a retired couple, single person, or family with teens. She’s crate trained, house trained, and handleable on-leash. Separation anxiety is her big challenge: she must be crated when left alone, as she gets anxious and can get into trouble if not secured. There’s no food or crate guarding, and she happily eats in her crate. She’ll spin in circles with excitement before walks and is eager to get home once out. Lady just wants all your attention and will make an outstanding companion for someone who can devote themselves to her. Give Lady the stability and devotion she craves, and you’ll have a grateful, loving best friend. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
