About Edward Scissorpaws
Edward Scissorpaws started life on an Amish farm, left to fend for himself with his three brothers once they no longer needed their mother. These pups ran wild on the property, never touched by kindness or given comfort. Eventually, a compassionate neighbor stepped in, and although the boys arrived at the rescue scared and untrusting, their caretakers gave them time and patience, making sure no one forced affection or contact. Edward needed extra time, often lurking behind his braver siblings, observing from the shadows, especially when treats were involved. With slow, gentle socialization, Edward’s confidence has begun to emerge. He still prefers to hang back, trusts at a distance, and waits for treats to be tossed rather than taking them from a hand. Potty training isn’t perfect yet, but Edward and his brothers rarely have accidents indoors—even with so much time spent outside. Physically, Edward’s dark, black body sets him apart from his lighter, mottled brothers. Personality-wise, he’s the shy thinker, curious but reserved, beginning to realize the world can be soft. Edward’s ready for a home that understands shy dogs, maybe with a patient owner and even other calm, confident pups. In the end, he’s a playful, gentle soul waiting for someone to help him step forward. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
