About Captain Jack Russell

Think you are the one? Submit an application! Captain Jack Russell is looking for a special home after a brief stay with a family where he struggled to bond fully. He thrives best with security, so a fully fenced-in yard (not invisible fencing) is a must to give him the confidence he needs as he continues to explore the joys of family life. Born on an Amish farm, Captain Jack and his brothers never experienced care or affection in their earliest days, making their first steps into rescue a truly brave journey. At first, they were terrified and undomesticated, but gentle patience from his rescuers allowed them to slowly realize kindness and comfort. Over time, Captain Jack has blossomed into a curious, playful, and entertaining pup. He is famously the goofiest of his brothers, using all his Jack Russell charm to earn treats and attention! Although he took his time warming up, he was the first to truly show curiosity about people and begins each day with enthusiasm and repeat attempts at friendship, often bounding up from behind to surprise. Captain Jack and his brothers are mostly accustomed to outdoor living and are not fully housebroken yet, but they have not had accidents inside, thanks to spending much time outdoors. He’s ready for a loving home willing to let him settle at his own pace, and he will reward your patience with joy and affection. If you’re seeking a lively, small dog with a gentle spirit and a big heart, Captain Jack could be just the friend for you! They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
