About Ronda

Start your journey together! Apply now. In June 2025, this brindle beauty was left at a NYC Police Precinct by her former owner, unable to care for her any longer. After being brought to the New York Animal Care Centers, she found herself in a world of new faces, sights, and smells. With her future uncertain, a kind individual stepped up to save her, giving her a new lease on life. Ronda is approximately five years old and a medium-sized pit mix with a lovely brindle short coat. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. Her friendly and playful side shines when she interacts with other dogs—she enjoys chasing and wrestling with them one at a time. She's also quite social on walks, greeting strangers with sniffs and kisses. Ronda is house trained, loves her daily walks, and follows her human companion eagerly when it's time to go outside. Though she's hesitant with her crate and prefers a calm approach, her affectionate personality is evident—she's most content sitting at your feet during the evenings and engaging in games of fetch. Her playful nature is sweetly quirky, often requiring two balls or sticks for a proper game of fetch as she's reluctant to let go of her prize. Ronda may be a bit shy at first but is very loyal and treat motivated, spinning and hopping with excitement. Because she occasionally "pancakes" or flattens herself to the floor to avoid her crate and can be nervous if her space is approached by unfamiliar people, a calm home with a spacious fenced yard would suit her best. She's truly a joyful, affectionate pup who is ready to bring happiness and companionship into her new home. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
