Bit O' Honey is a neutered male Manx/Domestic Short Hair mix living in Wilder, KY. With a short orange tabby and white coat, he’s a large adult cat—about three years and nine months old. He is house trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, and does have special needs due to Manx-related genetic issues.

About Bit O' Honey

Bit O' Honey and his brother, Mary Jane Peanut Butter Twist, are the inseparable duo at the shelter: always side by side unless they’re passed out in different corners after another marathon nap. These two pack in a lot of rest by day, but are true night owls—rarely seen while the lights are on, then all over the place once the staff leaves. The shelter’s Eufy cameras catch them zooming around almost every night, making the most of their nocturnal freedom. Almost a year old with an August birthday (making Bit O' Honey a bold and loyal Leo), these brothers haven’t picked up much in the way of human social skills yet. They need adopters with serious patience and a willingness to work with shy cats. Given enough time and a calm environment, their unique personalities are likely to show. They’d do best in a home with other cats to help them stay active; they are much too anxious for busy households, dogs, or small children. Both brothers are neutered and fully up-to-date on vaccines. Bit O' Honey has begun to show some fecal incontinence—a genetic issue common in overbred Manx cats—but responds well to daily Entederm application. They must be adopted together and will need a patient adopter ready to offer a real second chance. Your new best friend is just one click away.
