Peyton is deaf and communicates using a few basic signs—he surprises people with how quickly he learns. He’s house trained, loves his crate, and doesn’t bark much, making him a calm presence in the house. Peyton is highly social with other dogs and should live with at least one canine companion; he’s happiest as part of a real dog pack. He does best with dogs close to his age or with older, confident, laidback friends. Peyton is not suited for homes with cats or small children, as he can’t hear little ones and startles easily.
