About Otter

Otter came in with her son Dakota and is a purebred Husky, about three years old, transferred here from another shelter. Like many Huskies, Otter has a striking look and plenty of energy to spare—she’s happiest when she has something to do. She hasn’t had the luxury of soft beds or cozy fires yet, but there’s a lot of life left for her to discover. Otter is still learning the finer points of home life and will need an adopter experienced with the quirks and needs of Huskies. A secure yard is a must, and patience with socialization will go a long way in helping her settle in. She currently isn’t house trained and will need someone who can work with her through basic routines. Otter is spayed and her vaccinations are current. She gets along with other dogs, and her best match will be someone who knows how to bring out the best in this unique breed. Start your journey together! Apply now.
