Meet Buck, an energetic approximate 2-year-old English Pointer who is ready for his forever home! Rescued from the Nephi area in South Utah, he was originally chained up outside and kept escaping chasing livestock. Buck is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, currently thriving in a foster family in Salt Lake City. He’s sweet and loves to snuggle with his foster sister, is house trained, kennel trained and off-leash recall trained with an ecollar. He is an English Pointer, so does love to follow his nose and range out far if you let him. Buck enjoys his walks and is always on the lookout for birds. He has had bird and gun intro and would make a great hunting partner with some additional training, he has the instincts and will even retrieve a bird to hand. He is working on his retrieving skills with bumpers. He loves the water and will play in the pool. He loves to come home after his runs and has a great off switch!! Due to his high prey drive He will need a cat-free home. If you're looking for a loving active hunting companion, Buck might just be the perfect fit! He has not been hunted over to our knowledge, but is very birdy and is learning quickly, he is not gun shy and could make a good bird dog as he has a lot of natural talent and a great nose!
