Dory is crate and kennel trained, though in her foster home, she usually stays in the bedroom with her foster siblings when her people are away. She thrives around people—especially children—and easily gets along with other dogs and cats. Dory enjoys roughhousing with younger dogs but picks up on cues when older dogs need space, showing a respectful awareness of her companions. Her favorite way to wind down is cuddling with the family, whether it’s movie night or just about any time a lap is available. She walks nicely on a leash and really enjoys her daily walks. Off-leash isn’t an option since she’s easily distracted and might run. Dory listens well, especially when treats are involved, and she’s never shown food aggression.
