AvailableAbout Star
Star has a natural way of making people smile—without even trying. At just 10 months old, she’s already shown the kind of resilience most never have to muster. After beating distemper as a puppy, Star moves with a bouncy, signature tap from nerve damage in one hind leg. Rather than hold her back, it sets her apart. She follows her own beat, always ready to chase a toy, wrestle with dogs big or small, or curl up for a heartfelt cuddle after playtime. She’s house and crate trained, and she’s working on getting more comfortable with walks and unfamiliar places. Star is shy at first, especially with new people and situations. She takes comfort in her crate and really benefits from routine, encouragement, and a gentle approach. She’s a strong candidate for activities like urban agility that slowly build her confidence at her own speed. Star truly blossoms with other dogs and enjoys rambunctious play and running in the yard. Her foster describes her as an affectionate goofball with a gentle energy and the occasional silly streak. Her next home will need to be calm and patient, ideally with another playful dog and folks who understand she’ll need time and support as she continues to come out of her shell. With a gentle, playful companion and the right encouragement, Star is going to keep shining. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
