Pocco is a big-hearted, goofy guy who still has the bounce and energy of a puppy. He wants nothing more than to please his people and soak up every ounce of affection he can get. His eagerness to learn shows—he’s smart, wants to impress, and benefits from patient guidance. With his expressive puppy dog eyes and gentle nature, he quickly wins over everyone he meets, wrapping them around his paw and melting even the toughest of hearts. He did great with kids as young as 1.5 years old in foster care, handled being left home alone like a pro, and is fully housebroken. Volunteers describe him as sweet, calm, and deeply affectionate—a classic oversized lap dog who just wants to snuggle. He’s motivated by treats, learns quickly, and enjoys practicing skills like sit, wait, come, and leash manners. After an agility session, his leash skills shine, and he’s always happy to pause for a scratch under the chin or behind the ears. Pocco would do well with an active adopter or family who’ll give him companionship, structure, and some fun exercise, plus lots of snuggle time.
