About Riley
To describe someone as having âthe life of Rileyâ means that they live a carefree and luxurious life. While we may be partial, we believe that every shelter dog deserves this kind of life; one where they will have everyday luxuries, like a home where they are protected from the elements, regular food, a cozy bed, and daily time spent with their human family. Our sweet Riley unfortunately recently lost her home and was thrust into the shelter, which can be a pretty scary place for a sensitive pup. Riley was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of her own when her former owner had health issues which did not allow them to keep her. She was reported to be a housetrained, crate-trained couch potato who always wants to be by her personâs side. She was a trustworthy girl and could be left out when her family left the home. Rileyâs volunteer friends see her bravery and canât wait for her to find a forever family: âRiley greeted us at her kennel door with bright eyes and a waggy body. She was easy to leash up and didn't mind her wacky kennelmate leaping over and on top of her. She walked easily over to a play yard where she explored the whole yard. You can tell that she's unsure and nervous about being in the shelter, but she has a cheerful disposition and she can be seen prancing around the play yard once she relaxes. She has the cutest little snoot that wiggles when she sniffs and reminds me of a bunny rabbit! She will approach for gentle pets and treats. I sure hope that she gets out of here soon so that she can open up in a home, away from the stressors of the shelter and show a family what a truly great dog she is!â Riley is a calm and gentle girl and a polite walking buddy. She has shared her kennel politely during her time in the shelter and mainly keeps to herself when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She enjoys finding a quiet place in the yard to sunbathe. Having known a loving family, Riley sure is feeling flummoxed as to why she is in the shelter now. Can you give her a second chance at a furever family? Please come meet her today!
