About Budd
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Wow, what a difference a bit of love and time can make! If you’ve ever found yourself in an unfamiliar place, you know how kindness from others can transform your outlook—and it seems Budd felt just the same way when he arrived at the shelter. At first, Budd completely shut down; he was uneasy, hesitant to walk on a leash, and unsure of his new environment. But thanks to compassionate volunteers, Budd has blossomed into a happy, cuddly, and confident companion! His volunteer friends describe him as delighted to see people at his kennel door, always greeting them with a wagging tail and joyful face. While still getting comfortable with being leashed, he eagerly heads to the play yard, where his affectionate, playful personality shines. Budd adores chin scratches and loves being close to his people. He's gentle with treats, enjoys meeting other dogs, and settles in easily with his social kennel buddy. Budd is a big, lovable pup ready for a caring family who can help him lose a few extra pounds and build healthy habits, so he can share many wonderful years with his forever humans. Meet this giant squishy marshmallow today and see if Budd could be the newest member of your family! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
