About Norton
Click apply to start the adoption process. Norton is a gentle giant with a heart full of potential. After enduring a tough start—likely spending much of his life outdoors and being left behind—he has slowly discovered safety and love during his time in foster care. Norton is still shy, particularly around new people and men, and it takes patience and understanding for him to feel comfortable. While he is sensitive about being touched near his neck and around his missing eye, he shows affection in his own sweet, gentle way once trust is earned. He currently lives with both dogs and cats, handling slow, supervised introductions very well. Norton is house-trained, crate-trained, and enjoys relaxing car rides, quiet trips to the park, and soaking in the world alongside his foster family. Due to his nervousness about loud noises and unfamiliar places, he requires monitoring outdoors, as well as a secure yard with tall fencing and a sturdy gate to help him feel safe. Norton appreciates a calm, low-key lifestyle and would do best in an adult-only household. He's looking for someone who understands shy dogs and is willing to let him blossom at his own pace through patience, gentle guidance, and lots of love. If you want a devoted, gentle companion ready to shine in a caring home, Norton could be the perfect match for you. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
