About Fernie
Fernie is an easygoing, affectionate dog who earned her reputation as an excellent houseguest during her time in foster care. She was always quiet and mellow, happiest when curled up on the couch or snuggling with someone nearby. Couch potato status aside, she lights up for car rides, toys, walks, and the chance to show off her basic obedience skillsāsheās food motivated and eager to please. Fernie greets new people with patience and warmth, always ready for a belly rub or to climb into your lap for kisses. Sheās also become a favorite for day trips, impressing volunteers with her relaxed attitude, curiosity, and ability to settle both at home and on outings. Fernie handles leashing and walking easily, and she strikes that rare balance of independence and seeking out affectionāexploring the yard one minute, then coming over for snuggles the next. Her playful side comes out around other dogs, and she shares her kennel without issue. Fernie enjoys playgroups and meeting new canine pals but will want to meet any resident dogs to ensure a smooth fit. She may do best in a home without young children. Ready to meet Fernie?
