About Toro

Meet Toro, a large Pit Bull Terrier mix who honestly thinks he's meant for your lap. This big-headed goofball has a larger-than-life personality and a deep love for toys—watching him whip them through the air will make your day. He’s a regular at Starbucks, winning over the staff with his gentlemanly manners while he patiently awaits his pup cup. Toro is sweet at heart, but he isn’t always aware of his own strength or size. His leash manners are a work in progress, and he’ll need an adopter willing to keep up that training, especially to help him curb his mouthiness. Toro can get along with other dogs, but only those who can handle rough, beefy play. He isn't suitable for homes with young children, cats, or farm animals; he just doesn’t know his own power. Several meet and greets are a must, and his adopter should be experienced, patient, and physically capable of handling a strong, headstrong dog. Daily walks and hands-on activities are non-negotiable—yard time alone won’t cut it. He absolutely shines on the road and would make a fantastic travel partner for someone who spends a lot of time driving. After three years in rescue, Toro is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for a home that matches his energy and character. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
