About Dexter
Dexter arrived to rescue just in time after years in a shelter nearly broke his spirit. He survived a traumatic attack from another dog that left him with serious injuries, but no one ever took the time to see the depth of his heart until now. Since living in a home, Dexter has really opened up. Regular socialization and training have helped him better navigate the dog world and sharpen his obedience. He catches on quickly, thrives on positive reinforcement, and loves treats, which makes learning go smoothly for everyone involved. Now almost 5 years old, Dexter is crate trained, playful, curious, and hungry for new experiences. After missing out on so much, heās making up for lost time and enjoying every moment. Heās best suited for an active, adult-only home that keeps up with his training and gets him involved in daily life. Dexter is selective about dog friendsāhe can walk past them fine, but would rather not share close space. Cats are not his thing. He carries a lot of resilience, energy, and hopeāall he needs now is someone who sees his potential and gives him a real shot. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
