About Zyla
Start your journey together! Apply now. Zyla is simply the cutest! This adorable 1-year-old girl is believed to be a Pit Bull and Pug mix, weighing in at a perfect 36 pounds. Rescued during a local TNR project, Zyla endured a tough start, living in a small pen with several larger dogs and raising a litter of puppies. Though most of her puppies did not survive, Zyla’s resilience has been inspiring to see. Due to her early experiences, Zyla can be shy and is easily startled, but she has quickly started to blossom. She fits right in with the lobby dogs AJ, Nakoa, and Skyy, following their gentle cues during greetings. Her confidence grows every day, and she loves nothing more than settling at the feet of her favorite staff member. In foster care, Zyla made big strides, learning to walk on a leash, growing accustomed to a home environment, and discovering the joy of snuggling close in bed. She will need patience and ongoing support as she continues to build trust and embrace new experiences like meeting new people, riding in cars, and walking on a leash. However, once you are her friend, Zyla’s affection and loyalty shine through. With a gentle approach and the promise of treats (especially cheese!), she is sure to become a beloved member of your family. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
