Zyla
AvailableZyla is a medium-sized, spayed female who blends the distinctive features of a Pit Bull and Pug. At around 2 years and 8 months old, she has a short coat in a mix of gray and fawn hues, and she’s fully house trained. Zyla’s vaccinations are current, and she is being cared for in Chattanooga, TN. She does have some special needs due to her shy nature, and benefits from patient handling and security.
About Zyla
Zyla is hard to miss—a sturdy, one-year-old mix of Pit Bull and Pug with a compact, medium build and an expressive face. She arrived at the rescue after coming from a tough background, sharing a tight space with three large dogs and enduring the heartbreak of losing nearly all her puppies. That early hardship left her cautious; Zyla startles easily and hangs back with strangers. But you can see her confidence start to bloom as she follows the lead of her new dog friends in the lobby. Zyla is dog-social: she integrates quietly and has even started parking herself at the feet of the front desk staff, soaking up attention and comfort. In a recent foster home, she mastered new skills—walking on a leash, sleeping in a real bed, and learning to enjoy all the odd sounds of a house. Zyla is quick to figure out ways to connect—her gentle paw tap earns her pets every time. Once you’re in her circle, she is loyal and craves cuddle time, but she’ll need a gentle hand and some patience settling into a new home. She’s food motivated (cheese is her favorite), and she finds security in routine and familiar dog company. If you’re willing to keep building her trust, she’ll blossom into a devoted companion.
