About Daphne
Daphne’s adoption fee is fully waived—a gift for the right person who truly sees her. Daphne spent her first two years fending for herself in the woods with a pack. She arrived feral and wary, but never aggressive or mean. Everything about people was new and intimidating, so at first she clung to quiet corners. With steady kindness, she's started to blossom into a sweet, quirky companion. Daphne bonds deeply with other dogs and absolutely needs at least one friendly canine friend in her new home; this isn’t negotiable. A securely fenced yard is a must. She’s not comfortable going outside yet, using potty pads indoors while she learns to trust the world at her own pace. Daphne craves affection from those she trusts (especially her foster mom), and can be surprisingly playful—she adores toys, being brushed, and the occasional people food treat. Her favorite thing? Joining the daily walk rides in her very own stroller, feeling included even if she's not ready to walk on leash. She’s great with respectful kids but families must be diligent about doors, as escape risk is real. Daphne’s more like a cat in her independence and habits; she’s not a typical dog, but she’s lovable in her own way, appreciating a home that meets her where she is. With time, patience, and another dog by her side, Daphne will keep thriving. Click apply to start the adoption process.
