After losing his lifelong companion and enduring a tough transition, Quanah has shown incredible strength and resilience. Now, he’s ready to find a forever family who will cherish the love, loyalty, and affection he has to offer. Having once been a devoted companion, Quanah is fiercely protective of those he loves, especially the children in his foster home, including special needs kids. He weighs about 78 lbs, has a medium-length black, gray, and white coat, and is built for adventure—always excited for hiking, walks, and snowy playtime. Housebroken and familiar with a doggy door, Quanah loves the outdoors and would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced yard and an active family. This intelligent boy knows basic commands and sledding cues, making him both trainable and eager to please. He is gentle and affectionate, with experience living harmoniously with other dogs and cats if introduced properly. However, he isn’t the best fit for families with very small children or chickens, but his calm presence and loving nature make him a wonderful companion.
