Rita
AvailableRita is a senior Siamese and Domestic Short Hair mix with gray, blue, and white coloring. At 8 years and 9 months old, she is spayed, vaccinated, and lives in Toms Brook, VA. Rita grew up with male caregivers and is ready for a new home where she can feel safe and loved.
About Rita
Rita came to the rescue as a kitten with her littermates, her mother being a bluepoint Siamese and her father unknown. She and her sister, Beauty, were adopted together in 2017 and had a good life until a new dog joined the household that made things unsafe for the cats, leading to their return. At 7 years old, Rita has gotten comfortable back at the rescue and is open to a fresh start. She enjoys being petted but prefers attention on her own terms, and she tends to warm up more quickly to men, likely from having male caregivers growing up. Rita receives routine care—she’s up-to-date on her vaccines, has tested negative for FIV and FeLV, is microchipped, and has been spayed. She’s looking for a new family who will be patient and let her settle in at her own pace. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
